I was recently at the grand reception opening of the Texas Bold Beauty Project at the People’s gallery in Austin’s City Hall. It was absolutely magnificent with over 1150 people attending our dedicated reception. This project of 20 pictures will be on display till January 2020. Our artwork numbers are 39-58 with our picture being # 57. We will also be in the state Capital Building in Austin for a week – date undetermined as yet! I will keep you posted on other upcoming locations and dates.
In a nutshell, some upcoming and well-known photographers in Texas, were invited to take pictures of women with disabilities and put them on display to bring about awareness and education. It is called the Bold Beauty Project. I was asked to be one of the models and I had a wonderful time.
Here is a picture of my photographer Pam and myself at the opening reception a couple of weeks ago in Wimberley Texas. There are also some you tube video links you can follow to learn more. The first one is a slide show of the 20 models photographed in Texas, the 2nd video is a promo video story they did of me and the 3rd video is by Eva, the co-founder of this project, from Florida. Also below are the two web sites for this amazing national project.
Please share this with anyone you know in or near Austin. It is an amazing event.
